Nanny, From the moment you gave me my first bottle, it was clear that your love for me was total. You played such a key role in my life, and I knew I could turn to you whenever I needed you. As a child, I didn’t understand just how much I could depend on you, but now I am grateful for the memories we shared, the skills you have given me and the bond we had. From being a page boy at your wedding, to you giving my first sip of ale at beer festivals far and wide (unfortunately I still haven’t got the taste for it…) and everything in between, I am so lucky to take so many amazing memories of you with me. You shaped the person I am today; I seem to have taken so many of your traits with me, like an amazing ability to talk to people and unabridged confidence. It always saddened me that you were not able to see me at University - enjoy the graduation, as I trust you’ll be watching, most likely from the first Wetherspoons you’ve been able to find. I love and miss you, Nanny, and thank you x
